Patient Participation Group: Patients in Practice (PiP)

We have a long established Patient Participation group called PiP who produces a quarterly newsletter which is widely distributed and covers Surgery related subjects as well as health promotion matters. The group was established in 1990 and is a valuable source of engagement with our service users and carers. Patients are invited to the Practice bi-monthly to discuss matters which are important to them and are always attended by one of the senior GP partners, and the practice manager.

PIP also arrange educational talks on a regular basis for all Formby residents (not just patients) which are advertised in the Formby Trader's journal and in the surgery.

HRT & the Menopause- In participation with PIP, Dr Simon Jones will be giving a talk and answering questions at the surgery on Tuesday 5th September 2017. For more information please click here.

PIP Meetings are advertised in the Practice and on this website and the latest newsletter can be downloaded here soon.

The group encourages new patients to join so as to ensure a representative cross-section of views is considered.

Each year the practice, in conjunction with PIP conducts a survey in order to see how we are perfoming from our patients point of view.
