Patient Participation Group (PPG)

THE PPG IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED PENDING A REVIEW.

We are looking at ways to get a more balanced representation of the practice population to join us in looking at how we can improve services we provide. If you are interesting in joining the group please contact the practice manager via reception.

We are looking at more modern ways to interact with patients to make it easier for patients to have a say. We hope to be able to promote the new style PPG very soon.

Our Patient Participation group

We have had a long-established Patient Participation group who have traditionally worked with the practice to produce a quarterly newsletter which has covered surgery related subjects as well as health promotion matters. The group was originally established in 1990 and the committee have held regular meetings with the practice Senior Partner and Management partner to discuss any feedback they have received or any proposed changes the practice are considering making.

The PPG help to decide on the subjects for educational talks for all Formby residents (not just patients) which are advertised in the surgery and on the website.

The practice encourages new patients to join so as to ensure a representative cross-section of views are considered.
